France Brand Ambassador-FMCG/Retail
About the Role
This full-time field-based role focuses on the direct sales, in-store execution and brand promotion of our premium product portfolio within the French FMCG retail market. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end retail partner development, in-store brand activation, and consistent revenue growth across their assigned territory in France. This role is field-based, with regular daily in-person visits to retail partners as the core responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Sales & In-Store Execution Conduct a minimum of 6 qualified in-person visits per working day to retail partners (including independent retail outlets, convenience stores and specialist FMCG retailers) across your assigned territory. Deliver professional product presentations, drive new product listings, and ensure consistent stock availability and compliant in-store merchandising for our brand portfolio. All field activities will be logged in real time via our company field management mobile application.
- Retail Partner Relationship Management Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with store owners, managers and key decision-makers across your assigned territory. Proactively resolve partner queries, address on-site issues, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive sustainable sales growth.
- Brand Visibility & Activation Negotiate optimal shelf space and premium in-store brand visibility with retail partners. Execute standardised brand guidelines, in-store promotional activities and product education sessions for store staff, to strengthen brand awareness and market positioning in France.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, promotions and consumer preferences within the local retail market. Compile and share actionable market insights and weekly performance reports with the regional management team, to support continuous optimisation of sales and marketing strategies.
- Campaign & Event Support Participate in and support in-store promotional activations, regional roadshows, and industry trade events across France, to drive sales uplift and brand engagement.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Language Proficiency : Minimum B2 level (or equivalent) French language proficiency, with fluent spoken and written French for business communication, product presentations and partner negotiations.
- Mobility Requirements :
- For all territories except Paris: Hold a full valid French Category B driving license and own a private vehicle for daily field visits.
- For Paris territory: Hold a valid public transport pass, with ability to travel across the city via public transport for daily store visits.
- Sales Experience : Minimum 1 year of frontline sales, retail business development or field merchandising experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through in-person client visits.
- Core Competencies : Highly self-motivated, target-driven, with strong execution ability and willingness to work in a field-based role with daily travel. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to build long-term client relationships independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in specialist regulated FMCG retail, consumer electronics, or related fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
- Previous experience in retail store management, inventory management or in-store training delivery.
- Existing network of retail partners in the assigned French territory.
- Basic English language proficiency for internal global team communication.
